This is a dramatic change and certainly brings the focus back to the cup instead of your background. Great job, Julie!! Another idea is perhaps next time use only a white background. White and black backgrounds showcase still life photos best!
Great job on the challenge Julie. Nice to see the different edits you came up with in picasa.I reaally think the cup looks so much better and just stands out more with the white background.
used picasa to do a focused b/w, and the put a "glow" on it.
